All sessions are live on Zoom.

For this book, It Didn’t Start with You: How Inherited Family Trauma Shapes Who We Are and How to End the Cycle by Mark Wolynn, the price per book study session is $4.99. All sessions will be recorded and will be available for 30 days from the time of recording.

Each session will:
- Have clear expectations for how to participate (or you can just come and listen!)
- Be recorded for participants’ access only for 30 days.
- Have a planned presentation regarding key topics with guiding questions for reflection and conversation on the selected portion of the text for that week.
- Include additional resources as necessary to make the content more accessible.

- Anyone who loves reading and needs accountability.
- Those interested in learning about the traumas families face and how they impact who we are today, as well as those keen on breaking generational cycles.
- People who may not necessarily love reading but enjoy learning about how our early relationships affect our present behavior, physical health, and mental health.
- This opportunity is open to everyone; identifying as being in recovery is not required.

🌟 About the facilitator, Jessica:
- Jessica Dueñas, Ed.S., the founder of Bottomless to Sober and 2019 Kentucky State Teacher of the Year, is an educator in recovery who coaches and believes book studies provide opportunities for people to make sense of their experiences. Additionally, Jessica facilitates professional development for organizations focusing on wellness, leads workshops on writing and wellness, and is available as a speaker for events.
- Jessica has previously hosted instructional book clubs at the Reframe App and currently serves as an instructor and hosts sobriety support meetings at The Luckiest Club.
- In 2021, Jessica was named a Kentucky Colonel, the highest civilian honor in the state of Kentucky, for her service work in education and recovery spaces and in 2024, Jessica was named the Professional Staff Member of the Year in her department at the University of Tampa.
